Often referred to as a premium or heavy duty card, these cards are typically made of a blend of PVC and polyester plastic.

The blend is generally 40% polyester and 60% PVC, but different blends are available.  The higher the Polyester content, typically the higher the cost.

These cards are more scratch resistant, and often specified for use in badge laminators due to their resistance to bending or warping during the lamination process.  While some laminators say you can use any card, if you have trouble with cards jamming in the laminator, you may want to use a composite card.

These cards tend to cost twice that of a PVC card.
